Dave’s P90X Yoga X Demo
If you’re doing one of the P90X workouts, you know what I mean. P90X Yoga X is hard…really hard. In fact, a lot of people skip it, not because it’s 90 minutes long, but because it’s so challenging.
P90X Yoga X Video Demo
Here’s one sequence from P90X Yoga X that’s a killer—the right angle pose.
This move is great for detoxing and, from a workout perspective, it strengthens the legs, knees and ankles, stretches the groin area, waist, spine, chest, and shoulders. It’s also an excellent way to deliver pain to your quads. I would agree on the “increases your stamina” claim as well.
How to Do a P90X Yoga X Bakasana Headstand
Here are some tips on how to do a Bakasana headstand or “Crow pose”—a move you’re familiar with if you do P90X Yoga X.
While in Garland pose, gently drop your head to the ground. You’ll want to be sure you keep your neck in a comfortable and strong position. From there, try to position your rear over your shoulders and then lift straight up with your core. Keep your core tight and try to squeeze your thighs together, which will help you balance.
Try it against a wall with a spotter when you’re just starting out. Slowly, but surely, you will find the balance and strength to straighten your legs above your head.
Here’s a video of what the move looks like in real time. I held this for a 10 count, but I try for 30 when I do it as a regular part of my practice:

Don’t Skip P90X Yoga X
Pushing your body to its limits has benefits and the benefits of yoga are MANY. If you’re not clear on this yet, check out our interview with Tony Horton on the importance of yoga. If anyone knows a thing or two about a thing or two on this topic, it’s Tony.
Here’s a little video I did about the importance of NOT skipping P90X Yoga X:
Yoga X is like a warm blanket for your soul. I feel so much better after doing it. I’d go so far as to say that yoga — and particularly P90X Yoga X — has changed my life.
Since I started doing it in 2004, when we first started doing P90X, I’ve gained strength, flexibility, and a sense of calm that I didn’t have before. Don’t skip the yoga—it will very likely change your life, too!
Just remember that yoga is like water in a river running over rocks—it takes time, but the water always wins.
