What is the Best Beachbody Nutrition Plan?
What is the BEST Beachbody nutrition plan? That depends on YOU!
It depends on what workout program (or other exercise) you’re doing and your preferences.
The good news is they’re ALL on BOD! This includes the two primary ones—Portion Fix and 2B Mindset—and more.
Let’s take a look at the two primary nutrition plans, as well as the program-specific ones…then, I’ll give you a tool that will help determine whether the Portion Fix or 2B Mindset plan is best for YOU.
Beachbody’s Two Main Nutrition Plans
Portion Fix
Created by super trainer and nutrition expert Autumn Calabrese, this plan teaches you how to use portion control containers for ANY workout program.
The plan is based on three principles: 1) Balancing macronutrients, 2) Eating proper portion sizes, and 3) Swapping processed foods with whole foods.
There are three plan options based on your body type, lifestyle, and goals. You can even use it for the whole family, too!
Portion Fix is ideal for people who want a structured eating plan that gives them control over their food rather than food controlling them, but without taking the fun out of eating.
2B Mindset
Created by nutritionist Ilana Muhlstein, this plan strives to change your mindset by helping you understand and manage your eating behaviors and food choices, while still being able to enjoy food.
Rather than restricting foods, it helps you gain self-control, change your eating habits, and get rid of cravings.
The main principles are: (1) Water first, (2) Veggies most, (3) Track your food, and (4) Weigh yourself regularly.
This plan is perfect for those who want to have a healthier relationship with food using a sustainable approach
Portion Control Nutrition Plans
The following are program-specific plans based on the Portion Fix nutrition plan:
21 Day Fix Eating Plan—This is a fabulous plan to start with because it’s pretty “relaxed” as it allows you to have some treats and alcohol.
3 Day Quick Fix—This is a more challenging three-day plan that’s perfect for resetting or temporary weight loss for a special occasion.
21 Day Fix EXTREME Eating Plan—There are actually two Extreme plans, Extreme (can be used long-term) and Countdown to Competition (for temporary goals). As the name suggests, they have the same underlying structure as the 21 Day Fix, but they are super clean (AKA much stricter). No treats or alcohol and the food lists are shorter.
Vegan Fix Eating Plan—This is a 100% plant-based version of the 21 Day Fix that gives non-meat eaters more protein by dividing grains and legumes.

Adapted Portion Control Nutrition Plans
These plans don’t require the containers, but they can be converted to use them.
Body Beast—This is an “old-school” bodybuilder’s high-calorie healthy diet with three phases (Build, Bulk, and Beast) and two optional plans (Mass and Ripped).
22 Minute Hard Corps—This plan doesn’t just tell you what to eat, but exactly what to eat for every meal. If you don’t want to think about your meals, this is a great option.
Core de Force—This plan uses calories fluctuation to help prevent plateaus. The recipes will give you energy for your workouts or help you recover.
Cize—This plan uses the “Meal Builder,” which is a series of mix-and-match charts that show you how to make breakfasts, lunches, and dinners to suit your tastes.
YOUv2—This plan helps you incrementally improve your eating over four weeks.
Shift Shop—Over the course of three weeks, this tough nutrition plan will help you progressively eliminate starchy foods and legumes and get to a point where your carbs come almost entirely from veggies and fruit. It will also get you down to 30% carbs and 40% protein.

P90X3—A more flexible version of the P90X/P90X2 eating plans that includes vegan, vegetarian, and grain-free versions.
