How I Will Be Using the BODi Essentials Pack

It’s been 20 years since I hopped on board the at-home fitness bandwagon. That postpartum mom is now an empty nester and that baby is turning 20 next month!!! I wanted to share with you how I will be using the BODi Essentials pack as my “go to” as we move forward dropping our identity as Beachbody and embracing our new name: BODi.

By the way, “BODi” is a short name for “Body interactive” because there is an interactive component to that part of the site.

There will be four BODi blocks offered that you can select and join:

  1. Beginner Block (with newest Super Trainer Lacee Green…I LOVE HER)
  2. Bike Block (where those with the spin bike can add the bike to their mix)
  3. All BODi Block (alternates strength training and cardio)
  4. Iron Block (a traditional weight lifting workout)

I will be committing to a the ALL BODi block style.

I am also well-known for subbing workouts as opposed to my accountability partners who work for badges and take pride in their mounting collection. I don’t care about the badges, but I do like to fill out a monthly tracker and I am looking for six days of movement per week.

Workouts might include dog-accompanied strolls through my neighborhood, rides on the MYX bike, or a vertical feet day on the slopes. As long as I am moving, I feel good.

The crazy part is that you get all this mindset guidance, RD-designed nutrition information, and access to trainer-led workouts for less than $15. It has been a lifestyle game-changer especially with the conversion to the app.

Quick story…

I recently went on a trip to Australia where I found myself jet lagged in the hotel gym. I put my headphones in and did a strength training session with Joel Freeman on the app.

I love that I felt so comfortable in a foreign gym because of the app and my regular trainer there guiding me. My biggest dilemma was picking the free weights in kilograms and converting the weight in my mind…I know there are 2.2 lbs to a kilo, but it made for a funny session.

SO WHAT’S NEXT? March 6th is our very FIRST BODi BLOCK!

I will participate in our Soulful Fit Club BOD group. The app asks you if you want to share your latest workout, as well as an optional sweaty selfie. You’ll find me (and others) there sharing daily All BODi post workout photos.

I do best when I follow the 2B Mindset during winter, which is a plating method as opposed to the containers because I need the flexibility.
